Green hydrogen converter

Hydrogen energy is recognized as a clean energy and is emerging as a low-carbon and zero carbon energy. Green hydrogen is hydrogen produced by electrolysis with water as raw material. Compared with grey hydrogen produced from coal and natural gas, green hydrogen is decarburized in the production process.

The core of green hydrogen production lies in the application of efficient water electrolysis hydrogen production technology. Under the action of direct current, water will undergo electrochemical reaction and produce hydrogen and oxygen at the cathode and anode of the electrolytic cell respectively.

As the core equipment in green hydrogen production, green hydrogen converter is a special kind of converter. The so-called special is mainly because the technical index requirements of the power supply are different from those of the common power supply. Its output voltage is required to be stable, the output current is particularly large, the requirements for stability, dynamic response and ripple are particularly high, and there are more special or even more stringent requirements than the ordinary power supply in the design and production of this kind of converter.

The topology fully combines thyristor high-power rectifier and fully controlled IGCT module with high reliability and high capacity, which greatly reduces the number of modules. 3 + 1 with redundant modules can meet the technical requirements.
